After six weeks of intensive radio training, ten more people are joining the radio team on Black Star radio as they wrap up their Certificate 3 training this week. During the course, trainer, Martin Corben took them through many aspects of broadcasting with an emphasis on community engagement as well as teaching them some of the finer detail of Zetta, the new system being used throughout the Black Star network.
Students came from all over the region including Woorabinda, Normanton, Doomadgee, Mareeba, Cairns and the Cape. For the first time we have been able to include remote voice tracking into the curriculum and other modern state of the art features that are now deployed within the Black Star network.
Listen out for the new voices on a radio near you soon..
