People living in remote Queensland communities now have an even more reliable radio system to keep them informed, entertained, educated and feeling good.
Their own Black Star Radio Network now has a unique real time monitoring system that displays on a large screen a real time status of all of its remote sites. Here’s how it displays on the wall at QRAM Central in Cairns.

Black Star deploys the most modern tools available to the Broadcasting industry today, including the RCS Zetta system, and all services are connected via its unique WAN based network.
Staff at QRAM Central now know exactly what is happening at every site in some of the most remote communities in the country. In the not-so-distant past, it could take days, weeks and sometimes months to action problems when they occurred at some remote sites.
Now Black Star communities can be assured that staff at the QRAM hub will be aware of any problems as soon they occur and many can be rectified within minutes.
